Welcome to our annual collection of Star Titles – the books you have found most special and rewarding during the past twelve months. As usual, we’ll be keeping these titles in stock for a whole year, and you’re welcome to order them at any time during that period. In case you want to give any of them as gifts (some of you have been giving away box-loads of books like The Invitation and Your Body’s Many Cries for Water, for instance!), it is perhaps a good time to remind you about our special gift service. Looking through this year’s Star Titles really does give us a very positive, optimistic feeling – spiritual teachings seem so much more widespread, so much more dynamic and direct than they did nine years ago when Cygnus began. Is that due to the teachings, or to our perception of them?? Perhaps a bit of both! As all of us – authors and seekers alike – discover by trial and error more and more about the reality behind the words we use, our understanding becomes more mature. We become more receptive to Truth itself, and less likely to be confused and misled when the Unspeakable is put into words. That makes it easier for profound ideas about how to establish communion with the ‘God within’ to be communicated successfully. Authors can express these ideas better, and we can understand them better, too. Hence that wonderful wave of books like Friendship with God, ‘The Direct Path’, How to Know God, The Seat of the Soul, After the Ecstasy, the Laundry, ‘Living the Sacred’ and ‘Enchanted Love’ to name but a few.
The various ways of forging a conscious, individual connection with the Godhead without the need for any intermediary are now, metaphorically speaking, blazed across the skies for all to read. Any obscurity on that point has vanished! What will come next we wonder??? It’s an exciting thought, isn’t it?
