2001 Issue 05: HELP OUR PLANET

Dear Reader

We read the following in God is Never Late by Ian Graham with White Bull, and thought we’d like to share it with you, especially at this time:

‘What is the best anyone can do to help our planet at the moment?’

‘The best you can do is to withhold from any judgement about what is taking place, and to hold constantly in your mind the vision of your planet as whole and healed.

‘To be able to do this, you need to be able to heal yourselves too, because the vision you hold for your planet can only manifest when the vision corresponds with your own state of being.

‘Let me take as an example your concerns for the pollution affecting your world. Before you are going to be able to cleanse your oceans and rivers and the air you breathe, you need to be able to cleanse the toxicity of thought that surrounds your planet. If you had the eyes to see, you would not just see the physical clouds in the sky that from time to time block out the sun and precipitate rain upon the earth, but you would also see the dark clouds of fear, of anger, of hatred, that also block out the light of the cosmic sun and which, in their own way, precipitate those same energies into the consciousness of man. Like the cycle of the rain and the clouds passing between earth and the skies, so the same cycle continues with such thoughts, every bit as destructive as acid rain. So you have those clouds of anger and hatred precipitating those thoughts into those who are already vulnerable; they then act them out, and you fear and judge their actions, which only creates more negative thoughts to be absorbed back into those clouds.

‘So begin by working to dissolve that pollution, working with all the love of your heart and all the will of your mind to clear those clouds, some of which you will have created, so that the light of Truth can shine through, and all can bask in that light in the same way that, on a grey winter’s day, you long to bask in the light and warmth of your physical sun. Get together with two or three people who share that intention and, for as long as you can, hold that vision. When you are together, imagine yourselves as a link in a chain of all the other small gatherings taking place at the same time with the same intention.’

‘Is that going to stop the destruction of the rain-forests, though?’

‘Those who are involved in such acts do not know what they are doing. Attacking them with your thoughts is not going to make them stop what they are doing, but risks fuelling their determination to keep on. They are acting out of ignorance and fear, and are needing your forgiveness, which is not to say that you let them off the hook. It is to understand that they, like you, are essentially innocent. It is also possible that in some perverse way they are making an important contribution towards stopping all harm to your environment. One factor that all mankind shares is that he inhabits the same planet. Nobody seriously wants to see the destruction of humanity; maybe the risk of that happening has to get so real that suddenly all wars and disagreements will disappear, and all will be focused upon that one glorious intention of loving your beautiful planet. In the meantime, keep holding the vision, keep up the lobbying, continue the education and, wherever and whenever you can, offer the more beautiful alternative.’

With much love from all of us,
Geoff, Ann, Jackie, Derek, Martyn, Jackie M, Sue, Samantha, Regina, Jon, Sam, Bertel, Sandra, Pat, Karena, Louisa, Mary, Emma, Em and Belinda.
