Dear Friends,
As I am writing this, the wind is blowing wildly and I am reminded of a story told me by my friend Mary of the amazing service the air elementals offer us. She was a healer and lightworker trying to make a difference in an area where there was a tremendous amount of negativity and darkness. One day a gale was howling round the buildings and she could hardly hear herself speak. She sent out the strong thought to the wind elementals asking them to be quieter. A deep, hoarse, almost threatening voice replied. ‘This place needs cleaning up.’ Mary replied, ‘Yes I know, but please can you do it more quietly.’ Within moments the wind dropped!
She also told me that, after Winston Churchill’s death there were a great many storms in England. She believed that his funeral had brought up war memories for so many people that the elementals used the wind and rain to cleanse them. So now I remember to thank the wind for clearing not just my cobwebs, but the stuck energy in so many places.
A fairy at Findhorn The first fairy I ever saw was at Findhorn. That is not surprising as the veils between the worlds are thin in that magical place. I was sitting in a circle listening to a lecture. In the middle of the room was a bowl of flowers and my eye was caught by a wonderful blue-mauve light about 18” tall, dancing round the flowers. It was exactly the same colour as the catmint flowers in the vase. I knew at once it was a catmint fairy! I watched for about five minutes, looking away from time to time to check it was not an illusion but it was always there darting in and out of the plants, enjoying itself. Then I had to give my attention to the talk again and I could no longer see it.
Visions Unseen I was reminded of this recently when I was sent Visions Unseen to read by Findhorn Press. It is a book about the Natural Realms by Frances Ripley and I was enchanted from the moment I picked it up. I was drawn in by the story of her life and totally fascinated by the generous number of extraordinary and colourful illustrations in her book. She explains that when the Beings approached her wanting to be drawn, her pulse rate would change dramatically, her hands would become restless and her fingers would itch. Then her hands would be directed to the colours she was to use and she would begin to draw without knowing what was evolving. The eyes would emerge last and these, of course, brought the entire illustration to life.

Her book is full of stories and my favourite is when she quietly tunes into a foxglove plant and finds herself drawing a simple pattern. When she has finished the drawing a large bumblebee flies into the window and slowly buzzes its way spirally from the page up about four feet and then hovers before repeating the flight. She is told that she has drawn the vibrational field of the plant and the bee was homing into that to help it find the flower!
Interviews with nature spirits Another book that answered so many questions that I could hardly put it down was Nature Spirits and What They Say; interviews with Varena Stael von Holstein. I was fascinated to learn that concrete creates malicious gnomes, whereas where they are living naturally they are good natured and helpful. And of course they have such ability to affect our lives by their actions. Apparently a bad gnome can cause someone to stumble or build houses badly so that negativity radiates from the walls. They can soften bones and influence our minds with greed. I think lots of blessings are called for when we are in a concrete jungle. It is another reminder to spend time out in nature whenever possible.
According to the interviews with the sylphs, polluted air can make them malicious too, for they can influence our thoughts. This is why the wind feels so pleasant when you are in the countryside but cold and dead in town. The same applies to polluted water and undines, as well as salamanders and fire. The greatest antidote to this negativity they say is - guess what - love! Love is the best antidote to hate.
These books have opened my eyes and heart to the invisible worlds and I feel enriched by them.
With love, Diana
