 Our shop in Lampeter closed on 22 March 2008 and we would like to thank everyone who came there for their support and friendship. The experiences we had in Lampeter, and the relationships we formed, we wouldn’t have missed for the world! We did our best to make a positive contribution to the local community but, despite our efforts, the shop did not sell enough books to make it financially sustainable.
Our main office in Llangadog is still going strong, however, and you’re most welcome to visit us there!!! You’ll be able to enjoy browsing in our special Bargain Room (with many books at £3.50 or less), as well as buying books you’ve seen in the Cygnus Review or on our website. Our opening hours are 10am-4pm Monday-Friday and 10am-12.30pm Saturday (closed Bank Holidays), and the full address is Cygnus Books, Bwlch Agored, Carregsawdde Common, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire SA19 9DB (Do call us on 01550 777 701 if you need directions). There’s a lovely area of common land nearby, running alongside the river Sawdde, so you can combine your visit to us with a pleasant walk (and maybe even a picnic!).
